  11. I have tried adding a Quit menu to the Finder and installing Quit Finder
  12. and Start Finder FKeys but I have found the easiest and cleanest approach
  13. is to use the application Anti-Finder. It is no longer in the archives, so
  14. a resubmission follows.

  16. To rebuild a System 7 DeskTop without restarting, you would launch
  17. Anti-Finder (which will quit Finder), then hold down the Command and
  18. Option keys while selecting Quit in Anti-Finder (this will restart Finder
  19. and ask if you want to rebuild the DeskTop).

  21. Here is Anti-Finder 1.0.1.  Anti-Finder is a teeny-weeny application that
  22. causes the Finder to quit when you run it, and restarts the Finder when
  23. you quit it.
